We assume a minimum water surface area of10 ha. Depending on the shape of the lake, this allows us to produce 2-10 MWp.
Do you have a water surface available?
We are interested in artificial and unused bodies of water (e.g. decomissioned brown coal and sand quarries, artificial reservoirs like fish ponds) with a minimum area of approx. 10 ha.
Unique characteristics of the Floating-PV System from BayWa r.e.
The special-designed blocks of PV panels can be duplicated several times on the water and are therefore easily scalable up to multimegawatts PV parks. Solar boats are connected in rows, which can quickly be assembled on land and pulled into the water.
Small footprint on the water and high transparency for minimal environmental impact. Floating-PV causes less evaporation of water and proper balance of algae due to moderate shadows.
We use strong anchoring and high stability for high security. Stable walkways guarantee easy and safe maintenance. The quality of our components guarantees a lifetime of the Floating-PV generator for a minimum of 30 years.
Proven fast installation. One of our projects, in Bomhofsplas, was built in a record time of merely seven weeks.
