Subsidy-free solar farms: our success story
BayWa r.e. is the leader in unsubsidised photovoltaic projects. In 2018, the company completed the first unsubsidised photovoltaic park of this scale in Europe: Don Rodrigo in Spain, with an installed capacity of 175 MWp.
We are also a pioneer of unsubsidised photovoltaic projects in Poland. The photovoltaic farm in Witnica, with an installed capacity of 64.6 MWp, reached grid parity as much as two years ahead of the Becquerel Institute’s forecasts.

How long does it take to build a photovoltaic farm? The development of a project usually takes no less than 3 years, and the process of the photovoltaic project itself depends on the size of the investment, usually taking about 6-12 months.
