Unique features of the BayWa r.e. Floating-PV systems
Scalable system
Dedicated PV module blocks are repeatedly replicated on water, making them easily scalable to multi-megawatt PV parks. The solar boats are assembled in rows that can be quickly assembled on land and placed on the surface of the water.
Minimisation of environmental impact
The small footprint on the water and high transparency of the panels ensure minimal environmental impact. The floating photovoltaic farm results in less water evaporation and proper algae balance due to moderate shading.
