Lease of land and artificial reservoirs

Whether you own agricultural land, wasteland, or former brownfield sites, your property can be put to a new use. We lease land for the construction of wind farms, photovoltaic (PV) farms, and energy storage facilities. What’s more, we also lease disused water reservoirs for the installation of Floating-PV farms.

Agri-PV (energy and food production together in one area) and Floating-PV installations prevent land use conflicts and contribute to the success of green energy.

We lease land for investments and associated infrastructure (e.g. cable routes).
We offer a high income from the lease agreement for 30 years.

With a land lease agreement with BayWa r.e., you will gain financial benefits without any input on your part. We take care of everything from the design to the servicing of the finished PV or wind farm. We also assume all the risks associated with your investment.

Is your plot of land suitable for leasing for a solar, wind, or energy storage project?

We are interested in:

Agricultural land of at least 10 ha
Flat land with plenty of sunshine and as little shade as possible
Agricultural land in classes IV-VI, or unused agricultural land
Highly windy areas
Post-industrial land of at least 10 ha
Artificial water reservoirs (flooded quarries, sand pits, gravel pits, fish ponds) of at least 10 ha
Land dedicated to crops (e.g. orchards, berry crops) that can work with Agri-PV installations (minimum area 3 ha)
Land in close proximity to high or medium-voltage networks
