The Institute for Renewable Energy presented the tenth anniversary edition of the report "Photovoltaic Market in Poland 2022", with BayWa r.e. as its golden partner. The press conference promoting the report aroused wide interest. Among others, a representative of the government was hosted and a representative of BayWa r.e. took part in the debate.
The photovoltaic boom in the Polish market has continued since 2018, reaching a record installed capacity of nearly 7.7 GW last year. Interestingly, this is mainly due to a surge in the number of small and micro installations. However, the report's findings show that changes in prosumer programs and the degree of market saturation could slowering the sector. Systemic changes are inevitable for the further development of solar PV, which undoubtedly contributes to the country's energy transition towards renewable energy. The issues of direct grid lines or energy storage, including consideration of hydrogen technologies, are worthy of analysis.
On 25 May a press conference was held in Warsaw to present the results of the 10th anniversary edition of the report prepared by the Institute for Renewable Energy. The government's position on further development of photovoltaics in Poland was presented by Ireneusz Zyska - Deputy Minister of Climate and Government Plenipotentiary for Renewable Energy Sources. Board Member of BayWa r.e. Poland Sp. z o.o. Artur Marchewka took part in the panel discussion concerning the photovoltaic industry in Poland.
Two Polish companies from BayWa r.e. group actively participated in the preparation of the report: BayWa r.e. Polska Sp. z o.o., responsible for project development, and the distribution company BayWa r.e. Solar Systems Sp. z o.o.
